LA Metro awards 220 battery-electric buses to ENC for Southern California manufacturing

Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) has ordered 220 battery-electric buses from manufacturer ENC, to be built in Jurupa Valley, California. The AXESS EVO-BE 40-foot buses use BAE Systems' Gen3 electric drive system and up to 738 kWh of energy storage. The order supports LA Metro's transition to zero-emission vehicles ahead of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
