Mexico increases spectrum allocation for private 5G auction

Mexico's Telecommunications Regulatory Commission has increased the spectrum reserved for private 5G networks from 40 MHz to 60 MHz in the 2.3-GHz band. Licences will be awarded on a regional basis across 72 regions, with a possible second phase for national coverage. The regulator is preparing an auction to allocate this spectrum to industrial players.
