Rural Health Transformation Program: $50 billion state grants for health IT (2026–2030)

The US Rural Health Transformation Program will distribute $50 billion in grants to states from 2026 to 2030 to support rural healthcare, including funding for EHR upgrades, telehealth, health information exchange, cybersecurity, and clinical AI. CMS announced $10 billion in awards on December 29, 2025. States must obligate funding by October 30, 2026.
