Mexico to auction 2.3GHz spectrum for private 5G networks

Mexico's Telecommunications Regulatory Commission has announced plans to auction upper 2.3GHz spectrum reserved for private 5G networks, in a two-phase tender (CRT-RRI-01-2026). Spectrum may be assigned to specific areas based on participant needs. The auction follows earlier allocations of 3.5GHz spectrum for 5G laboratory use and deployments of private LTE networks in industrial sectors.
