Commission recognizes three cross-border renewable energy projects, including 180 MW wind and solar plant in Poland-Germany

The European Commission has granted cross-border renewable energy (CB RES) status to three additional projects, bringing the total to 15 projects with this designation. One project plans an integrated power plant in Guben, Poland, with a wind farm and photovoltaic installations totalling 180 MW capacity, expected to generate approximately 2 TWh of electricity annually. The electricity will supply industrial offtakers and district heating in the cross-border region.
